Privacy Policy

I. Introduction

In order to maintain the confidentiality of any information provided, 8Words Ltd. adopts the following privacy policy. Use of the site does not require the user to disclose personal information. Certain elements of the site, however, may require the user to disclose personal data, but this is always done with the user’s prior consent and with the use of required measures, procedures and organizational and technological solutions to ensure their secure storage and processing.

II. Data controller and contact with the DPO

III. Purposes and basis of data processing

1. data from contact forms

Personal data is processed for the purpose of correspondence and in accordance with the consents given. The legal basis for processing is consent (Article 6(1)(a) of the RODO). Data are processed until the purpose ceases or an objection is raised. Recipients of the data may be entities supporting the Publisher’s business processes within the scope of the services it provides (e.g. legal, accounting, hosting, IT services).

2. marketing consents

Data is processed for marketing purposes on the basis of consents granted. This includes electronic contact (pursuant to Article 10(2) of the Electronic Services Act) and telephone contact (pursuant to Article 172 of the Telecommunications Law).

3. data of job candidates

Candidates’ personal data are processed for the purpose of recruitment, in accordance with Article 6(1)(b) of the RODO and Article221 of the Labor Code. Provision of other data is treated as consent, which can be withdrawn at any time. Data may also be processed for future recruitment – based on voluntary consent.

IV. Recipients of data

Data may be transferred to entities supporting the Administrator’s business processes, e.g. companies providing legal, accounting, IT, hosting services. Data is not shared with unauthorized entities.

V. Rights of the data subject

Everyone has the right to access, rectify, erase, limit processing, transfer, object and withdraw consent. Withdrawal of consent does not affect the legality of processing before its withdrawal. Everyone has the right to file a complaint with the President of the Office for Personal Data Protection.

VI. Cookies

We use cookies for: maintaining sessions, handling statistics, customizing content and facilitating the use of the site. Each user can independently change browser settings and block cookies, which may affect the functioning of the site.

1 Types of files

Two types of files are used:

1.1 Session files

Stored on the Service Recipient’s terminal device until the session ends – e.g. leaving the site, closing the browser.

1.2 Fixed files

Stored on the Service Recipient’s terminal device until the time specified in the file parameters or until the file is deleted by the Service Recipient.

2. browser configuration

Each Customer may independently configure his/her browser settings, including blocking cookies, but please note that changing the settings in this regard may result in incorrect operation of the website.

3. purpose of using files

The service provider uses cookies for the following purposes:

(1) maintenance of the Service Recipient’s session (data is stored only on the server where the service is installed);
(2) operation of statistical scripts;
(3) facilitation of the Service Recipient’s use of the service;
(4) adaptation of information content to the Service Recipient.

VII. Security

Data is secured by technical and organizational measures that prevent unlawful data processing and protect the confidentiality, integrity and availability of data. Details are described in the internal Personal Data Security Policy.

VIII. Changes to the Privacy Policy

The Service Provider reserves the right to change the Privacy Policy. Amendments will be published on the website and take effect on the date of their publication.
